The Company

BH&S Insurance Services Limited was formed on the 1st April 2003, from three long standing businesses which operated in the Tiverton area and surrounding villages, namely David A J Baker Insurance Services, Graham Harvey t/a W P Jones and Brian Sandland Insurance Services, company registration number 04640518

In June 2004, the compant expanded further when Bill & Lin Cooke joined bringing with them their business which previously traded as Mid Devon Insurance Services Limited.

The new company operates from offices in the centre of Tiverton, and services Personal and Commercial clients throughout Devon and Somerset, together with other major clients elsewhere in the UK.

We aim to provide a bespoke service to our clients and are happy to provide solutions to their insurance needs. All members of staff hold a recognised professional qualification which new members also take.

BH&S have agencies with the majority of the leading UK insurance companies, together with access to the Lloyds marketplace and other specialist facilities, we have special status with Norwich Union and Zurich, who are 1st and 4th in the marketplace.

The company is also a founder member of the Nexus Insurance Group. There are currently 26 members in the South West, Wales and the North of England. This trading alliance enables the company to benefit from the overall strength of a larger organisation whilst retaining its own identity.

It is a condition of employment that all staff hold a recognised professional qualification so as to promote not only a good product knowledge but also enhance our professional and friendly approach to clients and suppliers

The company is authorised and regulated bythe Financial Services Authority (FSA) under the terms and legislation which came into force on 14th January 2005 registration number 301273.
